Description
Membership Information:

Graduates holding an associate's degree or higher from a qualified educational institution*, or a degree from a foreign institution recognized by the International Federation of University Women are eligible for membership.

Currently, $46 of your AAUW dues can be deducted as a charitable contribution on your federal income tax return. The entire amount may be deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary business expense.

Dues for July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011
$83.00 Regular yearly dues
includes national ($49), state ($10) and local ($24) dues
$34.00 Life Member
Those who have paid lifetime Association dues and now pay only annual state and branch dues.
$25.00 Student Affiliate
Student must be an undergraduate enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university.
$24.00 In-State Dual: Branch only
Members who pay Association and State dues through another Michigan branch.
$34.00 Out-of-State Dual
Those who pay Association and State dues to another branch outside Michigan, then pay both branch and state dues to us.
$68.00 Recent Graduate
This applies to those who received their bachelor's degree within the last five years.
$0.00 Honorary Life
Those who have been a verified AAUW member for 50 years or more. No dues are assessed.

 

*The bylaws define qualified institutions as "educational institutions that offer recognized associate, baccalaureate, or higher degrees and that have full regional or appropriate professional association approval."
