Let’s Read Math is a simple math teaching approach developed by Claire Passantino in 2004.  Students read a children’s book and then participate in fun math activities related to that book.
The Ann Arbor Branch of AAUW is sponsoring their second series of Let’s Read Math in 2012. Three workshop sessions are planned for about 100 children, from four Ann Arbor Elementary Schools: Logan and Thurston will meet in the mornings (10:00-11:30 a.m.), Angell and Burns Park in the afternoons (1:00-2:30 p.m.).
Pre-registration is required and is arranged through the elementary school. Volunteer members of AAUW will provide instruction.  University student volunteers will assist.
