59th Annual Book Sale This year's booksale was an effort that began last March and ended on September 11, and involved literally hundreds of branch members who planned, cleaned, greeted doners, sorted, and boxed thousands of books, which all had to be lifted, counted, recycled, and (mostly) sold. We are happy to report that the event generated almost $41,000 in gross sales. After expenses, every dollar will go to scholarships. The AAUW Used Book Sale is truly a community effort. Many thanks to:
Overflow and left over books were taken by various non-profit groups from both the sorting and sale sites. We estimate approximately 550 boxes of books were distributed to non-profit groups this year. Once the sale closed, remaining books were left for WCC students, faculty, and staff. For more information about AAUW-Ann Arbor's annual book sale, contact the Branch President or the Book Sale Co-chairs.
